Modernizing HRM capabilities with Oracle HCM Cloud
Infosys worked with an American multinational corporation delivering networking technology and solutions worldwide to transform their complex and highly customized legacy HR system to a modern, cloud-based application based on Oracle HCM Cloud solution.
Business Objective
The client wanted to migrate from a complex and highly customized legacy HR system to a modern, scalable cloud-based application with a robust change management approach. Reducing the total cost of ownership by aligning current processes and system capabilities to be explored. The company needed a predictable and guaranteed delivery approach to meet the on-time delivery requirements.
Infosys Solution
Infosys designed a solution that could implement 80+ inbound and outbound integrations to streamline data transfers. Infosys modelled 300+ reports, dashboards and infolets to assist insights-driven decision making. A knowledge center with 60+ embedded contextual self-help and learning videos and 330+ Knowledge articles was created to help the company in its self-servicing capabilities. Data migration of 12 million records from the legacy system to HCM was done through 8 data migration iterations. AssistEdge RPA, Infosys proprietary Robotic Process Automation was deployed to help the client with configurations. A robust change management framework was created to work closely with the business to assess and address the critical touchpoints and workflows.
Business Outcome
Self-services enhanced the staff productivity by more than 20% and improved the training program. Reduction in compliance/audit close to 20% by leveraging RBAC oriented security and governance for all employees and non-workers. Improved data accuracy by 10% by correcting data inconsistencies in the source before data migration. A highly resilient and scalable cloud platform on the opex model with mobile capabilities across countries enabled the company to deliver an excellent customer experience.
The human resource management system was modernized, with minimal effects on business processes and workflows. Implementation of Oracle HCM Cloud modules for Recruitment, Core HR, Absence Management, Time & Labor, Compensation, Profile Management, Talent Review, Succession Management, HR Helpdesk and Learning was successfully implemented.
