Be a Live Enterprise
In an era fuelled by digital disruptions, the opportunities to create value are diverse and plentiful. Today, enterprises are advancing on their digital transformation journey to adapt to rapidly changing markets, business needs, and consumer preferences. As organizations adapt to changing technology, business, and customer demands, a new breed of enterprises must emerge -- the Live Enterprise. A connected enterprise that senses and processes information, from the past and in real-time, to respond intelligently and effectively to its environment.
But beyond the enterprise is the wide world of opportunity, one that is ripe for further progress and advancement, where communities are empowering of its citizens, responsive to problems, and collaborative where it is now fragmented and divisive. Technology is the great leveller of our times! And, at Infosys, we recognize the opportunity. The opportunity to make a difference, to create a lasting impact, and to elevate humanity, one small step at a time. As players on the world stage, we are aware that the path to amplified human productivity is best navigated with responsible technological stewardship.

According to a recent report by the World Economic Forum, while 50% of the companies surveyed believe that automation will lead to a reduction in their full-time workforce, it is also projected that 133 million new jobs will be created by the year 2022 because of these same technologies.
The session will explore disruptive ways of recruiting, training and retaining talent in the digital age. AI has arrived in enterprises in a form which, while still in its early stages, has enormous promise, especially to any global firm rich in data to support rapid decision-making and delivering meaningful insights.
However, in order to realise this promise, companies must address practical considerations such as how they will acquire skills, make sense of the market and manage data, as well as policy consideration such as how they will govern AI, use it in a way which is responsible and consistent with their values, and participate in the development of regulation and industry guidelines.
Large corporates have particular challenges around managing talent while dealing with the pervasiveness of AI. Excluding government agencies, these firms are also the world’s largest employers and AI can play a dramatic role in re-calibrating global employment levels, which is likely to have a knock-on effect on economic conditions, wages, and several other parameters.

"As advanced analytics and AI become democratised across organisations, CMOs need to refocus their attention toward the impact that these technologies have on a broad set of constituents. In this ‘Human Experience’ paradigm, CMOs need to find the right balance between being customer centric, employee centric, and also society centric. With real-world examples, we will discuss how leading organizations are finding the balance by connecting technological progress with human understanding".

From making knowledge more accessible to more people, and bringing more connectedness, to making our planet cleaner and even saving lives, technology has made it all possible. And the big benefits of bringing these big changes have traditionally gone to the big enterprises that had access to these technologies. Today, not only is the potential of technology to bring in greater and faster change infinitely heightened, the barrier to technology is at its lowest ever. Clearly, it is the application of technology with a viable business model and not the technology itself that is the game changer here. So, the secret that allows a company –incumbent or startup -to leverage digital technologies to make any tangible difference to business and society is: Mindset, Scale andDiscipline. Mindset to embrace creative destruction, Scale to think big, think billions and the disciple it takes to build business the old-fashioned way.
