Overview

Climate change needs global action and Infosys recognizes its role to be part of the solution. We aim to drive climate action within our operations and engage with stakeholders for the global agenda. Our unwavering focus on responsiveness to the needs of the environment ecology will continue to be in three main areas: Decreasing carbon emissions through energy efficiency and conservation while moving to renewable energy, minimizing waste going to landfills, and conserving freshwater along with water recycling.

Carbon Neutrality

The main greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from our support activities include CO2, SOx, NOx and other ozone-depleting substances. Emission levels from diesel generators and diesel-operated fire fighting pumps are monitored on a monthly basis.

Climate Change Solutions

We achieved carbon neutralilty for FY20 across all emissions with our energy efficiency measures, green buildings and use of renewable energy. We also implemented carbon offset projects in the community.

We are strongly committed to water conservation through the 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) approach.
Waste

Waste

Our goal is to minimize waste going to landfills. Waste generated at Infosys campuses is segregated and processed using latest technologies. We have pledged to eliminate single-use plastic and reduce plastic waste generation overall.
Bio Diversity

Bio Diversity

The bio-park at our Mangalore campus is an example of our commitment to preserving the environment and nurturing natural flora, fauna and indigenous species.
