Flood Relief support to the severely hit areas in Telangana/ Andhra Pradesh
The relentless downpour that swept across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in September 2024, left a trail of devastation in its wake. Among the worst-hit areas were Khammam, Mahabubabad, and Vijayawada. In the face of this crisis, the Infosys CSR team stepped up to provide much-needed relief. As soon as the floods struck, the Foundation announced its support through partner NGOs. Infosys volunteers who were already on the ground were immediately alerted and mobilized. They worked tirelessly to coordinate with local authorities, assess the most urgent needs, and plan a swift and efficient distribution of flood relief kits. Within two days of the floods, the Infosys volunteers had identified the top-priority locations and developed a comprehensive plan for distributing the relief kits. They worked closely with local officials to ensure that the supplies reached those who needed them most. The Infosys volunteers played a crucial role in the distribution of the relief kits. They worked tirelessly to ensure that the supplies were distributed fairly and efficiently. In total, the Infosys CSR team donated 2404 survival flood relief kits to Khammam, Mahabubabad, and the surrounding areas of Vijayawada. These kits provided much-needed relief to thousands of people who had been affected by the floods.
