Seedball Event
Infosys Foundation volunteers set a new record by creating over 200,000 seedballs for reforestation projects across India.
Infosys Foundation, the philanthropic and CSR arm of Infosys, has kicked off its 'Month of Gracious Giving' initiative this September across Infosys Development Centers in India. As part of this inaugural initiative, Infosys employees participated to produce over 200,000 seedballs in an hour. These seedballs will be used for reforestation projects across more than 20 locations in India, helping restore native flora, promote biodiversity, and support local ecosystems. This initiative saw the enthusiastic involvement of more than 80 Indore DC employees, who collectively crafted over 4,000 seedballs, contributing significantly to the overall achievement. The event focused on creating seedballs by combining soil, clay, organic manure, and seeds. These seedballs are designed to grow with minimal effort, even in challenging environments, promoting green growth and environmental sustainability. This event not only set a new record but also highlighted the collective effort and commitment of Infosys employees towards environmental conservation. Together, they have taken a significant step towards fostering a greener future.
We have officially crossed 2 Lakh seedballs also as a count now.
