Cyber Security Volunteering for Odisha Police
AKANKSHA volunteers attended an offline induction session with the Cyber Crime Wing, CID Crime Branch Odisha.
A group of ten young, enthusiastic individuals, all members of the Akanksha volunteer group, gathered at the headquarters of the Odisha Cyber Crime Wing. They were here to offer their services in the fight against cybercrime, particularly in the context of the ongoing Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections. The volunteers were greeted by the Inspector, S.I., and A.S.I. of the Cyber Crime Wing. They were briefed on the critical role they would play in monitoring social media platforms and creating awareness content about cyber threats. The officers expressed their gratitude for the volunteers' willingness to contribute. The volunteers were divided into two teams. One team would focus on patrolling social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, identifying and reporting potential cybercrimes. The other team would be responsible for creating static posts and videos that would raise awareness about cyber threats and provide tips for online safety. The Cyber Crime Wing of the Odisha Police was immensely grateful for their contributions, and the volunteers themselves felt a deep sense of satisfaction knowing that they had made a positive impact on their community. Thanks to all the volunteers Snigdha, Anurjita, Sanghamitra, Saagarika, Anshu, Akhil, Jyoti, Prakash, Shakti, and Shyam
