The first 72 hours of a humanitarian crisis captures the world. But what happens afterwards? What about when an emergency becomes a protracted crisis?
As Ukraine approached its third year of war, Infosys placed a spotlight the education crisis that happens in these contexts. Education in Emergencies is a global, long-standing problem.
Over 3,000 schools in Ukraine have been damaged or destroyed, leaving nearly half of school-aged children—1.9 million—dependent on partial or fully remote education. Infosys has partnered with Street Child to address this critical challenge, including the renovation of seven digital learning centers in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast and the development of teacher and student resources through our Infosys Springboard platform.
This thought-provoking session hosted by Infosys and Street Child explored the pivotal role education plays in humanitarian settings. By convening leaders from business, government, and NGOs, our expert panel discussed significant questions that lie ahead:
