Joachim Rosenberg
President, Volvo Energy
Joachim Rosenberg has been the Volvo Group’s executive vice-president for strategic initiatives since 2023 and the president of Volvo Energy since 2021. He has also been a member of the group’s executive board since 2012.
After joining Volvo in 2005, he spent his first ten years in leadership roles across several commercial functions. In 2015 he became the chief sales officer responsible for global sales and services across all truck brands and markets. From 2016 to 2021, he was the chairman of UD Trucks, overseeing the company’s turnaround and divestment.
Mr Rosenberg’s current external board assignments include Milence, which builds and operates charging networks in Europe, and Concentric, a leading manufacturer of engine and hydraulic components.
From 1996 to 2004 he was a consultant with McKinsey & Company in Europe and America.
He earned a master’s degree in financial economics from the University of Gothenburg and another in industrial engineering and management from Chalmers University of Technology, incorporating studies at the University of California, Berkeley.
