These challenging times have significantly disrupted almost every industry. With the enforcement of social distancing, sporadic lockdowns and phased return to work, several industries are cutting back on their workforce investments, while other industries are set to outperform and looking to hire. This has accelerated a decline in the volume of traditional jobs and accentuated a growing need for knowledge workers who can rapidly adapt to remote working. There is an acute shortage of talent with the right skills to fill these open jobs and a unique opportunity to hire for these new roles inclusively and provide equal access to those who have been hit hardest by recent job losses – non-degree holders, minorities and women. The need of the hour is not just to establish employer-employee connects, but to spot talent with the right adjacent skills, rapidly reskill this alternate workforce, and help employers simultaneously hire them so they can integrate the learning with the context of their jobs and be more productive.

A consortium of partners including Infosys, pymetrics, Merit America, Per Scholas, Revature and Woz U has come together to tackle this challenge and get America back to work.

Making it Work for America

Reskill and Restart is a free, online platform that brings together employees, trainers and employers in a guided journey that begins with aptitude and skills assessment, followed by curated job-specific skills training, and culminates in matching people with roles that land them in careers in tech., non-tech. and support functions. It enables employers who are scaling up to review the available talent pool for the right match and hire them while they undergo rapid and job-specific reskilling on this integrated, multi-stakeholder platform.

Reskill and Restart is powered by Infosys Wingspan digital learning platform, integrated with pymetrics behavioral science and audited AI technology to spot the radical reskilling needs of available talent. The platform also offers guided training in technology and other career-based programs designed to get people, including those without Bachelor’s Degrees, into the workforce while also gaining simultaneous job experience.

Reskill and Restart is open to American companies, in any industry, looking to hire talent or looking for alternate employment avenues for their current workforce.
