Infosys Foundation and Invisible Scars Foundation to Support Women Against Domestic Violence
Infosys Foundation, the philanthropic and CSR arm of Infosys, has collaborated with Invisible Scars Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence and abuse. The collaboration is focused on providing comprehensive support to survivors of domestic violence (DVA) of all ages and genders, involving physical, emotional, verbal, and sexual abuse in all domestic relationships. This project is called “Project Humraahi”, and it aims to address the critical gap in survivor support, rehabilitation and a sustainable ecosystem building for DVA survivors across India and NRI survivors.
Infosys Foundation has committed a grant of INR 87 lakh to enhance DVA support and rehabilitation services through a range of interventions including first level support, mental health support, legal counselling, litigation support, skilling/livelihood support, shelter support and other forms of miscellaneous help. The initiative aims to directly benefit at least 20,000 DVA survivors pan India, and NRI Survivors with focus on Hyderabad, Bangalore, Delhi NCR, Mumbai and Lucknow. While some services are provided in-house, the rest are provided through extensive collaborations with other DVA service providers or partners with specific skill sets.
This collaboration will also strengthen Invisible Scars Foundation’s capabilities by helping them build a holistic solution of extensive end-to-end survivor support as well as a more aware and sensitized ecosystem.
Since its launch in September 2024, Project Humraahi has already made a significant impact, directly reaching over 5,400 survivors through multiple interventions. In addition, over 8,300 survivors have indirectly been impacted through capacity-building initiatives at various levels, demonstrating the program’s broader reach and effectiveness.
