Infosys Concludes HackWithInfy 2024; Reaffirms Focus on Using Tech for Good
Infosys recently concluded HackWithInfy 2024, a nationwide annual coding marathon for engineering students, at its Pune Development Center. The theme for this year was ‘AI for a Better Tomorrow’, encouraging participants to develop innovative AI-based solutions to address a wide range of real-world problems related to healthcare, education, flood risk management, and waste management.
Over the years, HackWithInfy saw participation from over 10 lakh engineering students from more than 3,500 institutes across India from institutes such as IITs, IIITs, and NITs. The grand finale saw the top 100 coders split into 20 teams, participate in a 40-hour hackathon which was judged by a jury comprising senior Infosys leadership. The students experienced a wholesome cultural immersion along with the opportunities to participate in leadership connects, project showcase, and design-thinking workshop.
Members of the winning team at HackWithInfy 2024 are:

- Abhikant Kumar, Jaypee University of Engineering & Technology, Guna, Madhya Pradesh
- Saurav Rawat, Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology, Delhi
- Saroj Kowshik Garapati, Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore
The winning team was awarded prize money of INR 200,000, the first runner-up team was awarded INR 100,000, and the second runner-up team awarded a sum of INR 50,000. The best coder of the hackathon was recognized with the title ‘Champion of Champions’. This year, it was awarded to Pavan Manish Devulapally, from CVR College of Engineering, Telangana.
HackWithInfy highlights Infosys’ commitment to deepening connections between academia and industry, while advancing the role of technology for social benefit. The competition has won thirteen global awards including eight Brandon Hall Gold Awards, a Stevie Silver Award, ET global HR awards, among others. Over the past seven years, the hackathon has received stellar registrations and has been among the most prestigious coding competitions in the country.
