Infosys wins prestigious award for Sustainability as a Service at the 16th Deutsche Nachhaltigkeitspreis
The Deutsche Nachhaltigkeitspreis (DNP) or German Sustainability Prize, Europe’s largest award for ecological and social commitment, has recognized Infosys as the winner of the Sustainability Award for commercial services. Infosys was awarded the honor acknowledging its Sustainability as a Service offering, and its role as a driving force behind transformation in facility and service management. The company prevailed against short-listed German companies Dr. Sasse GmbH and Clean Excellence.
The award highlights companies that best deal with the challenges of the industry and make effective contributions to change, both within their own company and through their services. In awarding the honor jurors noted Infosys’ commitment to making particularly effective, exemplary contributions to transformation, and acquiring role model status sending the right signals to its industry and beyond.
In collaboration with the DIHK, the Federal Environment Ministry and other partners, the DNP recognizes the role models of sustainable change in Germany. The award is based on the goals of the 2030 Agenda and its key transformation areas such as climate, biodiversity, resources, supply chain and society. The DNP determines the pioneers of sustainability in 100 sectors of the German economy according to 150 expert jurors from research, associations, consulting and civil society.
