Infosys Joins Cloud Native Computing Foundation as a Platinum Member to Drive Open Source Cloud Transformation
Infosys has joined Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF), the open source, vendor-neutral hub of cloud native computing projects, as a Platinum member. With this, Infosys becomes the first System Integrator to achieve this distinction with CNCF.
The Platinum members of the CNCF comprise 22 other leading global organizations that are committed to making cloud native technologies universal and promoting digital transformation by using open source. As part of this engagement, Infosys will be able to leverage this rapidly evolving space by reducing the cycle time – from innovation in the open source communities to deployment at our enterprise clients.
Cloud native technologies help enterprises build, run, and scale applications in different environments like public, private, and hybrid clouds. Microservices, containers, orchestration, and service meshes are some of the key concepts and techniques of cloud native that enable loosely coupled systems that are resilient, observable, scalable, and manageable. Combined with automation, this approach helps enterprises incorporate high-impact changes with minimal time and effort and better predictability.
Infosys, with its in-depth expertise and experience in delivering digital transformation for enterprises, will aim to further drive the usage and adoption of open source in cloud transformation. The collaboration will enable Infosys Cobalt, a set of cloud-enabled services, solutions, and platforms, to accelerate cloud transformation journeys of enterprises with new features and capabilities. It will help Infosys in designing and building next generation cloud native solutions using open source strategically and share the learnings and opportunities from enterprise customers with the CNCF community.
