Infosys Concludes the 12th Edition of Ingenious, 2019
Bangalore - October 10, 2019: Infosys recently concluded the 12th edition of its annual business school competition – Ingenious, following its extraordinary success last year. Conceptualized in 2008, the competition is aimed at discovering the most innovative management students in the country by presenting to them complex business problems that Infosys solves for its clients every day by leveraging technology.
More than 18,000 first and final year students, forming over 6,000 teams from 80 select business schools across the country participated in the competition. Top 30 teams that cleared the first two rounds of online business-themed quizzes progressed onto the third round that involved submitting a solution to the assigned case study in the form of a presentation and a video. Top five teams from round three were shortlisted for the final round to prepare a business plan on a theme of their choice out of the five themes provided to them. All five themes were based on the use of digital technologies for business. Each team was assigned a mentor from Infosys to help them prepare their business plans. Under the guidance of their mentors, finalists competed to present the best business plan at the event’s grand finale held recently at Infosys Bangalore Development Center. The finalists’ presentations were judged by a panel of eminent jury members, including Aditi Pany, former chief operating officer, Ajio, Reliance Retail, Professor G. Raghuram, director, IIM Bangalore, Suresh Triveni, Indian ad filmmaker and director, Vijaya Kumar Ivaturi, cofounder and CTO, Crayon Data, and three senior executives from Infosys.
Milind Soman, Indian supermodel, actor, film producer and fitness promoter, was the Chief Guest at the event. He addressed the students and also felicitated the winners.
The winning team from Indian Institute of Management, Rohtak was awarded a cash prize of INR 1,00,000. They also won the Popular Choice award for best business plan presentation. The members of the winning team were –

The runner-up team was from Symbiosis Institute of Operations Management, Nashik and they were awarded a cash prize of INR 60,000. The final year participants from the two winning teams also received a pre-placement interview opportunity with Infosys Consulting.
