Event Overview
Infosys InsurTech Conclave is an effort to bring together leaders to provide a perspective on trends and opportunities being witnessed in the sector. This is an opportunity for participants to listen to key thought leadership, share best practices and network with industry peers. With a mix of panel discussions, keynote address and celebrity session, the event aims to explore the innovations existing in the space.
The conclave aims to provide the audience a practitioner’s view on the ecosystem for creating resilient and future ready enterprises. The conclave will also delve into the post pandemic context and provide insights into building capabilities and core competency required now more than ever.
The event is being held in collaboration with the Infosys Innovation Network (IIN), which brings together select startups and Infosys to provide innovative services to our clients.

Andy Lerner, Managing Partner, IA Capital Group
Andy Lerner is the Managing Partner of IA Capital Group, a New York based InsurTech focused venture capital firm. Currently investing its ninth fund, IA Capital is the longest-tenured and most experienced VC firm with a primary focus on Insurtech. He is the Director of SMArtX, SmartAsset, Credit Sesame and Marble, and a former director of Marqeta and many other startups. Andy holds a degree in BSE from Princeton and an MBA from Wharton.
Busy Cummings, Chief Revenue Officer, CAPE Analytics
Busy is responsible for leading new customer acquisition across insurance and real estate markets. He also oversees the customer lifecycle from evaluation through to implementation, successful deployment and continued growth as a CAPE partner. Busy has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry spending time on both the carrier side with AIG as well as the technology side leading DocuSign’s Commercial Insurance & Financial Services team.
CJ Przybyl, Co-Founder & Chief Strategy Officer, Snapsheet
CJ is an entrepreneur and business leader with experience in all company stages, from founding/early startups to late-stage growth companies and steady-state corporations. He co-founded Snapsheet after leading the pivot of BodyShopBids from a consumer brand into a B2B innovator at the forefront of the Insurtech revolution, raising over $100M and scaling the business to over 400 employees with over 100 insurance customers. CJ then led the stealth development and launch of Snapsheet Cloud, a SaaS platform which enables fully automated claims from FNOL to digital payment, in partnership with multiple corporates, including Zurich Insurance, Key Bank, and JPMorgan Chase.
CJ architected and led Snapsheet’s expansion beyond the US, into multiple countries in Europe.CJ is an avid angel investor and advisor, focusing on unique GTM methodologies, corporate strategic partnerships, business development and fundraising advice. He is passionate about using technology to enable more automation for humans.He holds a bachelor’s degree in optical engineering from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, where he currently serves on the board of the department of physics and optical engineering, and holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business where he is currently an adjunct professor of entrepreneurship.
Corey Schieler is a Director in State Farm Ventures®, which has a $100 million allocation. Corey has 24+ years of investment experience and is responsible for finding and executing strategic venture capital investment opportunities for State Farm®.
Corey has a BA in risk management and insurance from Illinois Wesleyan University and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He also has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation.
Corey believes in giving back to his community and serves on the Illinois Wesleyan University endowment investment committee, is chairman of a $4 million student-managed portion of the endowment and is a longtime wish granter for the Make-A-Wish Foundation having helped grant over 25 wishes.
Drazen Lalovic, Vice-President, Lumino Health, Sun Life
Drazen has a wealth of experience driving technology and business innovation through complex client focused organizations. In his role at Sun Life, Drazen leads the effort to establish Digital Health partner ecosystem ranging from start-ups, tech hubs to health service providers and governments. Drazen and his team are constantly evaluating digital health business and innovation opportunities while at the same time building a platform that connects consumers to a variety of health service providers. On this transformation journey the team acts as a start-up, rapidly innovating and creating empowering client experience in order to position Sun Life as a leader in digital health, protect the core business and create new revenue streams. Drazen spent most of his career with Telus where he held a number of business and technology leadership roles. Prior to joining Sun Life Drazen was Vice-President, Emerging Business, responsible for incubating new digital businesses in the areas of mobile commerce, digital identity, internet of things, and consumer health.
Dustin Yoder is an insurtech entrepreneur dedicated to creating the next generation of insurance sales, service, and policyholder engagement. The son of a top Silicon Valley insurance broker, Dustin found his passion during his high school days working at the family brokerage and quality testing early benefits software. That experience brought him into the insurtech arena in 2012, making him an early leader in the space.
As a young business visionary, Dustin built, and eventually sold, Vendus Product Labs, an enterprise product development company that served clients such as Genentech, Stanford University, and Honda.
Following that success, he formed Sureify with a goal of revitalizing life insurance for the end consumer. This endeavor took him through twists, turns, and the occasional fall, but it ultimately landed him in a position of influence in the insurance space, enabling leading insurers digitally from the inside out.
Dustin’s passion for bettering the life insurance industry has not waned. He continues to fall asleep dreaming of insurance innovation and next generation products across all lines of business. Using his entrepreneurial spirit, product mindset, and insurance enterprise experience to meaningfully impact the industry his father started in 40 years ago.
Dustin holds a BS in finance from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. He lives with his wife and daughter in San Jose, CA.
Kannan Amaresh, Senior Vice President & Global Head – Insurance, Infosys
Kannan has over 25 years of professional experience across the U.S, Canada, UK, Europe & India. He is a key member of the Senior Executive Leadership & Management Council at Infosys. As an SVP and the Global Head of Insurance at Infosys Ltd, he has the executive responsibility for all client relationships and new client acquisitions in the Insurance sector. He brings a deep appreciation of the business, business processes and the usage of technology solutions to help clients in addressing their underlying business challenges and executing digital transformation programs. In addition, he is an established thought leader in the industry, with a particular focus on Risk Management, Corporate Banking and Asset Management. Over the years, he has developed an interest in the adoption of newer technologies in business models.
He is also an inventor, with a patent pending in the U.S. for his seminal work on “Predicting Financial Impact of Business Framework.”He has been with Infosys since June 2000, initially as the Head of Consulting for Infosys’ BFSI division; followed by a 10-year stint in the United Kingdom managing Key Strategic Accounts and New Markets for Banking & Financial services practice. Since Jan 2018, Kannan has taken on the role of Global Head for Insurance Practice. Global Insurance Practice focuses on all clients such as Insurance Carriers, Brokers, MGAs, Exchanges providing a variety of services including Digital Transformation, Energizing the CORE, AI & automation with specific domain expertise. Global Insurance Practice is $800M+ revenue strong with over Top 30 Insurance players across Europe and North America. Kannan is an avid networker and a frequent speaker at various industry and community events and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. Kannan’s prior employers include Standard Chartered Bank, GE Capital TFS, Larsen & Toubro, AF Ferguso & Co.
Matteo Carbone, Non-Executive Director, Co-Founder, Insurtech Thought Leader, Keynote Speaker and Writer on Insurance Innovation
Founder and Director of the IoT Insurance Observatory, NED and Chairman of the Innovation Advisory Board at Net Insurance, and Global Ambassador of the Italian InsurTech Association.
Internationally recognized as insurance industry strategist and world-renowned authority on InsurTech, he has worked in 20 different insurance markets around the world.
Before creating Observatory and co-founding Archimede SPAC, he spent 11 years in Bain & Company. He received his degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University, also an executive program certificate in IoT from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
Paul Tyler, Chief Marketing Officer, Nassau Financial Group
Paul Tyler serves as Chief Marketing Officer for Nassau where he leads the marketing strategy, direct-to-consumer channel and innovation activity. Paul drives the branding of the insurance companies and affiliated asset management companies. He built a direct-to-consumer channel for Nassau Re. In addition, he launched Nassau Re/Imagine, an Insurtech-focused incubator based in Hartford. Prior to his role at Nassau Financial Group, he worked at Fidelity & Guaranty Life, MetLife in a variety of roles in strategy, marketing, operations, technology, sales, and compliance. He earned his A.B. from Princeton University and his J.D. from Cornell Law School.
Prasad Joshi, Senior Vice President and Head, Infosys’ Center for Emerging Technology Solutions (iCETS), Infosys Limited
Prasad leads Infosys Center for Emerging Technology Solutions (iCETS). iCETS is the key unit within Infosys, responsible for building expertise in emerging technologies and contextualizing them to create business solutions for Infosys clients. Prasad has been instrumental in building the strategic 'Living Labs' program at iCETS, and through it has setup co-creation labs with key clients.
His portfolio focus includes AI and Cognitive Solutions, Blockchain, Design and Experience, AR-VR, and Cyber Security and Data Management. Under Prasad's leadership iCETS has created products for Live Enterprise Application Management (LEAP), Cyber Security (Cyber Next), Digital Customer Service (Infosys Cortex), Conversational Interfaces, data privacy, enterprise gamification, and location based solutions among other areas. As part of global charter, he leads the creation of startup ecosystems and academia relationships.
Rohit Puranik, Global Head - Insurance Partnerships, Alliances and M&A, Infosys
Rohit is Portfolio Head & Associate Vice President at Infosys. He has over two decades of IT leadership and client management experience. Over the last couple of years, Rohit has played a significant role at Infosys through several strategic domain led engagements and client advisory roles. Rohit leads New England region and was key in opening the Hartford Innovation Hub for Infosys. Rohit has extensive experience in client relationship management, innovation and mentoring of global delivery teams operating out of Canada, China, Dubai, India, UK and USA. Rohit is recipient of many organizational awards at Infosys. He has very strong industry experience in Insurance, Healthcare, Long Term Care and Telecom industry verticals. Prior to joining Infosys, Rohit was a design engineer at GBGL, India. Rohit holds a MBA from University of Connecticut and General Management from Harvard Business School.
Roopa Navin, Client Partner, Infosys
Roopa Navin has 18 years of global experience in the IT Services & Insurance industry. Her leadership experience includes driving strategy, transformation, integration, and innovation across multiple insurance carriers in North America. She works with Infosys in the Insurance Practice as a Client Partner supporting key client’s in their IT/ Operations and digital transformation agenda.
Sabine VanderLinden, Co-founder, CEO, and Managing Partner of Alchemy Crew
Co-founder, CEO, and Managing Partner of Alchemy Crew a venture validation and commercialization lab using open innovation, parallel experimentation techniques, and ecosystem thinking to accelerate the curation, validation, and commercialization of digital services supported by disruptive business models. Sabine has over 20 years of experience in insurance. She was the CEO & co-founder of Startupbootcamp InsurTech (UK) & Hartford’s InsurTech Hub Accelerator (Hartford, CT, USA) where she worked with over 30 corporate insurers, accelerated 70+ growth ventures, helping them raise over $100m in funding. Valuation is over $500m at this stage. She is a pioneer in building innovation ecosystems, a co-editor of bestseller The INSURTECH Book, a multi-award winner, and a top 50 InsurTech Influencer.
Susan Winkler, Vice President & Executive Director, CT IFS
Leading the organization since 2007, Susan provides strategic direction to the Board of Directors and executes on its program and priorities. Key relationships include K-12 and post-secondary education partners, local, national, and international economic development agencies, site selection consultants and State of Connecticut public officials. As a representative of Connecticut’s insurance and financial services industry, Susan collaborates with numerous local and national trade associations, resides on numerous Boards, and publishes the annual Connecticut Insurance Market Brief, in conjunction with PwC.
Vispi Daver, SVP, Global Sales and Partnerships, Whatfix
Vispi Daver is the Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Partnerships at Whatfix based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Vispi works with Global 1000 Prospects and Customers across verticals and industries. Before Whatfix, Vispi was with Sierra Ventures, a Venture Capital firm, and he focused on investments in the Software Industry. Prior to Sierra, Vispi was with McAfee, an industry-leading Security Software company, in Product Management and Corporate Development. Vispi is a graduate of Yale University.
