Event overview
Infosys is a Silver Sponsor at Future of Mining Americas.
The mining industry today is navigating several challenges: depleting volume and quality of metallic, non-metallic, and mineral ore deposits, rising costs of operations, and unpredictable demand. Companies also need to safeguard workers from the occupational hazards of hostile mining conditions.
Infosys partners with mining companies to streamline operations – from mine planning, development, drilling, blasting, and quality control to logistics. We capitalize on advances in technologies and modeling techniques to mitigate risks and drive sustainable growth.
Future of Mining Americas offers stakeholders exciting opportunities to engage in insightful conversation and engage with modern technologies that can guarantee lower costs, greater production efficiencies, reduced environmental impact and workforce safety.

Some of the topics the panelist will mull over include, resetting the innovation strategy and business model in a fast changing digital environment, preparing for Digital Reinvention – the ‘who’ is just as critical as the ‘how’ and how CIOs can protect their digital investments and aging technologies against cyber threats.
Insight Stage Session: KRTI 4.0, the next-gen platform to address key mining challenges
Date & Time: Mon, Oct 21, 2019 | 11:50 am - 12:00 pm
Speaker: Madhav Apte, Director, Engineering Services, Infosys
Synopsis: KRTI 4.0 helps the industry overcome complex and expensive lifecycle management challenges across operational technology (OT) systems. The KRTI 4.0 framework applies AI, cognitive, machine learning and machine-to-machine (M2M) capabilities to industrial environments. This methodology identifies critical OT systems and assets to provide a deeper understanding of their behavior so that enterprises can unlock and create new value for users. KRTI 4.0 is designed to dramatically reduce system maintenance costs and expensive operation shutdowns by improving reliability and enhancing employee and environmental safety, all done by enabling predictive maintenance, pervasive connectivity and knowledge sharing across the enterprise. KRTI 4.0 is focused on improving two attributes – Increasing Mean Time To Failure (MTTF) and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) and aims to deliver increasing availability and profitability to customers.
