Overview
Employees in today's digital workplace use different devices like phones, tablets, laptops, etc. and pretty much work happens on the go, in travel, or at meetings. There is an increasing demand for IT to develop enterprise scale, multi form factor apps in short time frame for niche business transactions, and to improve adoption and employee productivity. The mobile revolution along with cloud capabilities has changed our experience in using commercial apps, but the enterprise apps we use to perform niche business transactions have been slow to keep pace and most often are not optimized for mobile, are not easily extendable for integration, and not accessible in the employee’s device of choice.
To develop agile enterprise scale business applications, Microsoft has introduced Power Platform - a low code, software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform with cornerstones of PowerApps, Microsoft Flow, and Common data model that enables citizen developers/power users to build business and connect to external business apps with drag and drop ease.
The App in a Day program is designed to accelerate your PowerApps, Microsoft Flow, and Common data model for applications experience, with a comprehensive hands-on training provided by qualified Infosys consultants who specialize in creating app solutions. In the one-day event, participants will:
- Experience building a PowerApp
- Use the Common Data Service for Apps (CDS for Apps) to store app data in the cloud
- Use Microsoft Flow to build an approval workflow for the apps
- Learn about Infosys experience in enterprise scale app deployment
- Get an insight into industry use cases across customer segments
