Can digging and leveraging rig data make an Oil & Gas service provider more relevant and credible to its users?

One of Infosys’ clients in Oil & Gas industry was looking at a robust strategy and roadmap for their digital transformation. Their most critical project was revamping their existing app that showed rig data information, acting as a business barometer for the drilling industry. But their existing app wasn’t delivering the desired user-experience and functionality.

Infosys evaluated this app and received feedback from the client’s marketing team. Some of the key issues were outdated user interface design, slow response, and dependence on an online network. We decided to build the app from scratch using Apple Swift. The new app offered customized experience, quick access to data, both offline and online, customized dashboards and charts as well as a tremendous improvement in performance.
