Rashmi Kumar is Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE).

In this role, Rashmi is propelling HPE’s digital transformation forward to be the edge-to-cloud platform as-a-service company. Focused on building the necessary capabilities to position the Global IT organization for the future, Rashmi is reengineering the organization to deliver optimum performance aligned to the business operating model and executing a winning strategy that ensures best-in-class partnership and support for the business.

Prior to her roles at HPE, Rashmi has more than 25 years of experience serving in CIO and CTO roles for many Fortune 50 companies like McKesson, Southern California Edison, Toyota, and Tata Steel. She is a seasoned technology leader with wide-ranging expertise in IT leadership, healthcare, consulting services, electric utilities, financial services, information technology, media & entertainment, and steel industries. Backed by her proven leadership, Rashmi's primary areas of expertise include Digital Transformation, Al/ML, Data & Analytics, Enterprise Architecture, strategic planning, and large scale business process transformations.

Rashmi was recently named 2021 Houston CIO of the Year – Super Global, and she is a 2021 HMG Global Leadership Institute Award recipient. During Rashmi’s tenure as HPE CIO, HPE has been featured as a 2021 CIO 100 and FutureEdge 50 award winner, recognizing how HPE is leveraging innovation and technology to deliver business value.

In addition to building world-class IT capabilities, Rashmi is passionate about promoting diversity and equity in the workplace and is the executive sponsor for several HPE Employee Resource Groups. She also sits on the company's Inclusion and Diversity Steering Committee.

Rashmi holds a bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the Bihar Institute of Technology in Sindri, India and an MBA from the University of California, Irvine: Paul Merage School of Business.
