One of the Best Experiences of My Life

The InStep internship with Infosys was an excellent learning experience that helped me improve my technical skills and soft skills. The project I was assigned during this internship was based on building an application with a Natural Language Processing (NLP) engine specific to the healthcare industry. The application consisted of different parts, which were all divided by everyone in the team that I was working with.

My task was related to building a sentiment text analysis model using a dataset related to healthcare. This project helped me learn a lot regarding the basics of machine learning, along with gave me an insight into what to expect in my future career prospects in health informatics. Overall, this internship helped me gain knowledge through my mentor and team about my project, as well as learn the culture of other countries as there were interns from about 30 countries.

Through the various networking events coordinated by the InStep team, I was able to build better connections and make good friends. Also, the excursion of the Mysore trip which was an excursion planned for us all interns was a unique experience as it was very intriguing to see the Mysore campus of Infosys, along with the city. This internship was one of the best experiences of my life because it was a unique internship with an excellent group of interns and mentors to look up to.
