Keisha Garcia is the Director of the Cloud Transformation and End of Service Life Program within BP’s IT&S Enterprise team. Keisha and her team are responsible for delivering BP’s digital ambition of leveraging cloud technologies by accelerating the migration of BP’s application estate from the global mega data centres to the chosen public cloud providers; Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure. The key focus of the programs is to reduce BP’s fixed cost and carbon footprint by closing the physical data centres, to transform and modernize the estate, and remediate cybersecurity and operational risk. Keisha also holds a leadership role as Chapter Head of the Program Project Management and Agile Capability profession within BP, responsible for coaching, developing and managing the Program Project Management teams across the US.

Most recently, Keisha was the Digital Foundations Senior Manager for Upstream IT&S, where she was accountable for bringing alignment, focus and acceleration to technology transformation programs that were critical to building the future digital platform for Upstream; specifically, Cloud, Windows 10 Upgrade and Network transformation. In parallel, Keisha held a leadership role as the Performance and Planning Manager, providing direct support and portfolio management to the Upstream CIO. Previously, Keisha was the Regional CIO and Head of Global End User Computing (EUC) and Business Analytics as part of the Integrated Supply & Trading (IST) business where her responsibilities included being accountable for all aspects of digital technology and infrastructure to drive the BP Global Oil Americas business.

Joining BP 14 years ago, Keisha has developed in-depth knowledge and expertise across program/project management, communications and business process re-engineering skills. This has enabled Keisha to successfully lead many major program implementations, service delivery and operations teams in guiding technology innovation inside and outside of BP with budgets exceeding $100m+ and teams of over 40+.

Keisha began her professional career in 1996 and has since held a variety of program/project management, products and service delivery roles implementing digital solutions for companies throughout the energy industry, including an electric utility company, the trading arm of an integrated utility, and a global provider of advisory services to commodity market participants.

Keisha graduated from Chicago State University in 1996 and earned a BA in Corporate Communications & English Writing, PMP Certification and an ITIL Management Essentials Certification. She has been a keynote speaker at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business – Women’s Connect Conference, serves as BP’s Ambassador to Prairie View A&M University for technology recruiting, and participates in many mentorship programs inside and outside of BP.
