AI is the new variable in the mix. The constants of change, though remain rooted in an enterprise’s core. While the era may be unprecedented, if one has successfully navigated change before, then the terrain ahead needn’t necessarily be a rocky one.
Having steered many a transformation for leading banking institutions in America, Nandita Bakhshi, Board Member, BMO, Beyond Meat & Quaker Houghton took to the stage at Infosys Confluence to draw from her well of inspiration. Her tales from the trenches reinforced that responding to disruption isn’t as much about the winds that blow outside the organization, but how well one can stay anchored on the inside.
Without clean data, you cannot have an AI transformation. The same goes for people: if they’re not empowered to be a part of the change, then scaling any AI initiative becomes fragmented and fraught with risk.
When the vision of different teams in the organization is variable, the future remains further away. Each function must come together to work for the greater good and keep the AI engine on track for tomorrow.
It’s easy to get caught up in one dimension of reinvention to the point that it outweighs everything else. But it’s essential to see that you can do purpose, you can do transformation, and you can be profitable, all together.
