Global Head of Transformation, Global Trade and Receivables Finance (GTRF), HSBC

Marjolein is the Global Head of Transformation for HSBC's Trade and Receivables Finance business. She is responsible for the implementation of Trade Transformation covering technology, services, client propositions and product capabilities.

Marjolein has over 20 years’ experience in roles spanning strategy, product management, operations and change. She joined HSBC in 2018 from ING, where she spent three years as Global Head of Change for Financial Markets and Bank Treasury. During this time she led the business towards an Agile method of delivering transformation; standardising the trading platforms across the global footprint; consolidating the dealing room set up; and facilitating growth in the US and Germany.

Prior to ING, Marjolein spent time at RBS and Standard Chartered Bank in various roles including Global Head of Portfolio Management Cash & Payments, Group Head of Banking Operations Change and Chief of Staff to the Group CIO.

Before moving into banking, Marjolein worked for the Dutch government in Israel, The Hague and Brussels.

Marjolein holds multiple degrees in Philosophy, History of Art and Archaeology obtained from the University of Amsterdam, Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv University.
