Robert V. Brown is the Worldwide Head of Safety, Regulatory and Medical Business Technology at Pfizer Inc. In this capacity, Robert has global responsibility for the strategic direction, operational efficiency, resource management and customer relationship management for all of the systems that support more than 1.1 million adverse events; 40,000 submissions; 1.6 million medical inquiries; 150 audits/inspections; millions of health care payment disclosures, medical grants and digital strategies related to Get Healthy Stay Healthy, Get Old and the Pfizer Medical Library. Robert is a member of Dr. Freda Lewis-Hall’s Pfizer Medical leadership team and Dr. Peter Honig's Worldwide Safety and Regulatory leadership team, in addition to his role on the Business Technology leadership team. Robert's career experience ranges from highly regulated environments to global infrastructure technology management. Robert has held various roles from individual contributor to leading large scale global organization teams.

Prior to joining Pfizer, Robert V. Brown held senior level IT positions at CIGNA Corporation and Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis, IN, where he was responsible for 24x7 operations, Internet technologies, collaboration tools, email/calendaring and security.

Robert has been in Information Technology for 30 years, focused in the Health Care industry. He has managed people, organizations and projects across highly regulated application development/support environments to complex rapidly moving new technologies. He has successfully partnered with all levels of organizations, from senior management to new colleagues, and has demonstrated success as an individual contributor and a senior people leader.

Robert holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh. A native of Philadelphia, Robert has been married for 26 years and has three children aged 25, 22 and 17. Robert enjoys golf and cooking.
