Mathieu Verger is the Head of Accounting Operations for Philips Lighting since the beginning of 2015. In his role, he is leading a team of accounting professionals both in-house and at Infosys responsible for collection, credit risk, payments to supplier, general ledger, statutory and tax declarations. He set up this standalone organization and took it through a separation from the Philips Group followed by an IPO and supported the publication of Philips Lighting’s first annual report. He has been driving change in a shared services environment since 2012, most notably through a significant wave of outsourcing and the extension of a second generation BPO contract. Prior to that, he was the Head of Finance and IT for the Philips Group overseeing the Maghreb & West Africa region during the Arab spring. He is French, married with a Dutch wife and the proud father of two young children. In a prior life, he used to be a mechanic and electronic engineer.
