The survival and success of tomorrow’s global company is bound integrally to the health of a complex global system composed of three interdependent sub-systems – the natural environment, the social and political system, and the global economy. Global companies play a role in all three and they require all three to flourish.

In July 2007, Infosys co-chairman Nandan Nilekani co-chaired a report, Tomorrow’s Global Company, along with John Manzoni - Group Managing Director & Chief Executive, Refining & Marketing, BP, to identify three specific ways in which global companies can fulfill this role through ‘expanding the space’ in which they operate.

The World Economic Forum

Infosys has been a part of the World Economic Forum since 1997. Our engagement with the Forum is a progressive one and has evolved and matured over a period of ten years. Since first joining the Forum, we have deepened our involvement quickly and in 2005, became a Strategic Partner.

As part of our efforts to support the World Economic Forum and its subsidiary activities, Infosys is a proud partner of the Forum of Young Global Leaders, a unique group of young global achievers under 40 who are striving to make a tangible and positive difference to the world that we live in. We are also a partner of the Forum's community of Global Growth Companies, an upcoming community of high-growth companies from around the globe.

Furthermore, our executive board has taken an especially active role with the Forum through active participation and hosting of various events.

N.R. Narayana Murthy, Chairman of the Board and Chief Mentor, was the co-chair of the Annual Meeting 2005 in Davos. Nandan Nilekani, CEO, President and Managing Director, was the co-chair of the World Economic Forum - India Economic Summit 2005 held in New Delhi. He was also the co-chair of the East Asia Summit in Tokyo in June 2006 as well as the India Economic Summit in November 2006.
